from the hand-carved row of pillars holding up the front porch

Here are two--the dark one (a dark blue-gray) I think was maybe a hand-sander

Happily it stands tall and steady now on its own

and hopefully an equally rich one ahead of it

I'd think he could still be used to make a bear shaped ice cream pop, but I like him just standing around. 4 3 8 t x 2 1 2 wide. Earlyish 20th c. I believe, stamped 601 on the front and marked S&Co on the rear. Good condition, with a little corrosion to the pewter near the hinge, but
