Sailor Laddie 1903 Pen and Ink Drawing custom sign I'm thinking it would be

I'm thinking it would be pretty great perched above a mailbox

which were likely once feet on a piece of furniture

Certainly this piece dates to the 19th century

with a little rippling to the paper (maybe from moisture at some point)

I'm not sure it gets much more British than this sweet hand-painted postcard of gabled

Sailor Laddie 1903 Pen and Ink Drawing custom sign I'm thinking it would beWhen I first saw this drawing I thought the caption read "Sailor Daddie", which happily lends is another dimension! Just a great drawing I think, complete with little sailboat at his feet and HMS on his cap (for His or Her Majesty's Ship) making one assume it is British. Initialed EMB it appears and dated 1903 at lower right. 7 7 8" x 6 1 2". Very good antique condition, with a little age toning around the edges and a few small stains here and there.
