Antique Embroidered 1818 Alphabet Sampler, with Attribution, in Adirondack Frame antique hand-carved I assume mid-20th century orThere is information taped to the back of this frame attributing this sampler to "Grandma" (Bonere it looks to me, but a bit hard to read) and dating it to 1818, when she was 8 years old. It is in such pristine condition it looks as if it might have been done yesterday, but the absence of the J and U, the fraktur style lettering of the first half (through to the M, then changing style with the N) and the round hand of the second half all seem right to
