Beautiful Small Two Piece Carved Black Duck curated pottery with a red marble oneThis lovely old carved wooden duck is small a bit shy of 5 inches long but has quite a wonderful presence and sense of specialness about it, in significant part I think due to the head having been carved from a separate piece of wood than the body, which, together with the sensitive carving of the form, makes me think perhaps caved by a practiced decoy maker. Primitive, elegant, distinctive, and to my eye quite a perfect thing. 4 7 8 l x 2 t x 1 7 8 w
