I purchased the piece from the estate of a dancer/choreographer in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood

It features hand-painted eyes in two different patterns executed in rich blue and purple against bright white on front and back

and this sgraffito design is just fantastic

The vase is numbered "27" and stamped with a J and a JF
