My guess is that the bottom of the ashtray was once the printing plate used by Squire to produce business or calling cards

but overall the two issues are in good condition and really quite remarkable things

This stoneware vase was hand thrown then pressed on four sides to give it a faceted yet still very organic form

Fine Large Turned Wood Clothespin beautiful Japanese lacquer box but when I spotted thisThis is the most beautiful clothes pin I think I've ever seen. And it is oversized, making it feel all the more a special object. I'd probably use it on my desk to hold a pile of clippings or drawings together, or it would certainly make for a very elegant way to seal a big bag of potato chips! 7" long x 5 8" wide x 1 2" deep and in excellent condition, with just very light wear. I'd guess it dates to the very early 20th century.
